Tencent Game officially pushes out growth protection platform. Under the guidance of Ministry of Culture, Tencent officially announces “Tencent Game Growth Protection platform”, which is based on the “Online Game Parents of Minors Monitoring Project”.  On the platform, Tencent Game will assist parent to monitor their children’s game accounts, so that they can take right action to manage their children’s healthy behaviors online. It is the nation’s first solution in the Internet field, specially designed for minors surfing the Internet healthily. 

IBM officially announces to build the Internet of things headquartered at Watson. In the IBM Genius of Things Summit held in last night (2017, Feb. 16th), IBM talks about its big show about the Internet of things, and it will combine with other decades of customers as well as partners to build up the Internet of things, so that it can push the cooperation innovation in the Internet of things better. Meanwhile, IBM also officially starts the project of constructing a new Watson headquarter for the Internet of things. This project will cost IBM up to $200 million. 

Twitter announces lightweight front-end development tool Bootstrap. It is designed by Twitter designers Mark Otto and Jacob Thornton. The front-end developing tool is for quickly creating web page, written by CSS Less, so it is very similar to CSS framework. Besides, Bootstrap also conforms to HTML and CSS clean but elegant library. For those startups lacking excellent front-end developers, Bootstrap can help them fulfill a pretty good UI design even without designers.

Verizon successfully acquires Skyward. While Verizon negotiates with Yahoo to lower the acquisition costs, it is still busy in purchasing UAV startup, Skyward. The main purpose to acquire Skyward is to drive its innovation as well as adoption for IoT services, because Skyward can bring Verizon drone operations management to tis IoT portfolio. For the terms of the deal, Verizon and Skyward do not disclose yet. 

AT&T pushes out new unlimited data package. Based on the old unlimited data package, AT&T now has fully opened its new unlimited data package to all its users to enjoy the unlimited transfer. However, similar to AT&T old unlimited data package, the new one also comes with some limitations. It is more expensive than old ones, and users need to pay $100/mo; new package does not allow users to use hotpot functionality; and more.
